KayakStorm (Lucília, Vieira & Lima, Lda) is a Portuguese shoe manufacturer established in 2001, producing just under 200000 pairs/year and respecting European labor and environmental rules and regulations. Currently it employs 50 people.

The company is based in Romariz, Feira, a cluster for the Portuguese shoe industry, 30km south of Porto, Portugal’s second largest city. Its facilities are readily connected to major motorways, ports and airports, making it easy to export worldwide.

It is GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certified since July 2024, thus providing high levels of product, social and environmental compliance.

KayakStorm specializes in Moccasin, Boat, Strobel and Cemented shoes, including children and large sizes (from size 20 to size 50). Since 2013, KayakStorm also presents an Eco Shoe Collection, exclusively for private label, including vegan, biodegradable and upcycled shoes, accounting for more than 30% of its business. It recently developed a highly successful Barefoot collection. All shoes are developed in-house.

It exports to over 35 countries in Africa, Europe, America and Asia, being present in world-class trade shows, such as The Micam Milano, Momad Madrid, FaW Tokyo, Neonyt, Gallery Shoes, ExpoRivaSchuh and Crecendo Paris.

Kayakstorm is a family company, inserted in its local community. Around 2/3 of its annual energy needs are provided by in-house solar power generation systems, with the surplus being sold to the national power grid. More than 95% of its supplies originated in EU countries and more than 80% in Portugal, making its production highly locally-based.
